About my work, myself and your programme

The work that I have submitted is a part of both personal and college committed projects. Each of these images portrays what I feel creates a successful image, mainly through the use of colour and composition.
Images one to seven are taken from some of my fashion photo shoots that I have conducted, and I have chosen the best of the selection. Image 8 was taken from a series of photographs I took at the 2009 Clothes Show, shot at one of the catwalks. Through editing on Photoshop I have produced what I believe are some beautiful photographs of people. There are from then on photographs from my travels; images ten and eleven are from Sidari. These images mean a lot to me as I hold a lot of memories within them.
Last but not least Image twelve was taken from my garden, in the style of Imogen Cunningham. Nature photography is something I do tend to take an interest in outside of college, which I like as I feel it broadens my photographic interests and skills. Overall the images I have submitted are some that I feel I could most definitely progress in; my skills are basic and I would be very keen to take my personal and college interests further. Aside from this these are some of my best images, and I am proud to call them my own.
My infatuation with Photography is currently mostly commercial based. Nigel Barker and Rankin are the sort of Photographers that I aspire to be; their style and ambition fascinates me. Aside from this I find both Nature and Travel Photography a very interesting photographic style.
This course looks very exciting and full of independence; this idea of the unexpected is something that has really caught my eye about the programme. Manchester is a city full of possibilities, and this environment is something i know i want to be in. I want to become a successful Photographer, and I hope to be able to do this through attending your university.
